Whilst we can only guess as to why Minister Burke has delayed his long awaited announcement as to whether koalas should be listed as vulnerable, this decision can make no difference to the last surviving koalas on the Far South Coast NSW.

New services provoke sceptical response
As part of the review process by deputy director of the Ministry of Helath, Nigel Lyons, chair of the Southern NSW Local Health District Board, Eve Bosak, announced three new health care initiatives to “enhance existing services” at Pambula District Hospital but hospital watchers such as members of SOHI, are sceptical about the “new services” and what they really comprise.
